Bayer 04 Leverkusen, a team in the German Bundesliga, has formally announced Erik ten Hag as their new head coach.
The Dutchman has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.

“Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!” The club posted in an official statement on Monday via X, welcoming Ten Hag and confirming the deal. The 54-year-old tactician replaces Xabi Alonso, who previously led Leverkusen to domestic success.
Ten Hag was widely considered the main candidate for the role following Alonso’s departure.
The club confirmed that the deal is a two-year agreement, running through to the end of the 2026/27 season.
