The NBM of Africa has firmly distanced itself from any planned protest, urging its members to steer clear of actions that contravene the laws and Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the organization’s National Publicity Secretary, Ajibo Sambrown, the group emphasized its commitment to lawful conduct and warned that any member found engaging in illegal activities would face stringent sanctions, including expulsion and prosecution by relevant security agencies.
The organization reiterated its support for the ongoing fight against cultism and criminal activities in Edo State, aligning with the efforts of the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
While pledging its willingness to collaborate with the state government to eliminate all forms of criminality, the NBM of Africa also called on the governor to ensure that all anti-crime measures are carried out within the framework of the Nigerian Constitution.
“The NBM of Africa totally condemns all criminal activities carried out by miscreants and wishes to collaborate with the Edo State Government in the fight against all forms of criminalities in the state,” the statement read in part.
The group also issued a stern warning to its members not to allow themselves to be used as tools in any protest, reiterating its disapproval of any planned public demonstrations.
