The Abia State Police Command has issued a public notice calling on individuals whose vehicles, motorcycles, tricycles, and other items were abandoned and are currently unclaimed across various divisions to come forward and retrieve them.
According to a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen C. Chinaka, the listed items are being held at the Ohuru Isimiri, Osisioma, and Isuochi Divisions of the Command.
At the Ohuru Isimiri Division, the unclaimed items include:
A motor vehicle with registration number 174AE
A tricycle with registration number KKE 329 WX
A tricycle without a registration number
A scrap motorcycle without a registration number
A Mate motorcycle without a registration number
At the Osisioma Division, the following items remain unclaimed:
A scrap Toyota Carina II with registration number AH 443 ABS
Two scrap Lady’s Yamaha Mate 90 motorcycles (one without a number, one with QC 219 EZA)
Two Qlink CG motorcycles without registration numbers
A Lady’s Sayang motorcycle without registration number
A Daylong CG motorcycle with registration number AD 490 E
The Isuochi Division recorded a wider array of unclaimed items, including:
Several motorcycles without registration numbers (Kynstone, Qlink, Sayang, Honda, Yamaha, and Lady’s models)
Three cooking pots
Electric wires and cables
Empty jerry cans
Rubber drums
Solar energy batteries
A portfolio handbag
A wheelbarrow and iron drum
Construction rods of varying sizes
A scrap generator
Tools and other miscellaneous items.
The Police Command has urged owners of these items to come forward within fourteen (14) days of the announcement to reclaim their property. Failure to do so will lead to disposal of the items via public auction in line with extant laws.
The Command emphasized that this action is part of efforts to decongest police divisions and maintain orderliness.
