President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will pay an official visit to Anambra State on Thursday, May 8, to commission several completed infrastructure projects and engage with key stakeholders, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced.

The governor made the disclosure during the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, where he addressed members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).

According to Soludo, the President’s visit will mark a significant milestone as he is expected to inaugurate some of the signature projects completed by the state government under his leadership in the past three years.

“President Bola Tinubu will be visiting Anambra State on Thursday, May 8, for an official visit,” Soludo said. “During his stay, he will commission key infrastructure projects and attend a special function hosted by the state government.”

The governor emphasized that Tinubu’s visit reflects the deepening partnership between the federal and state governments and the recognition of Anambra’s developmental strides under his administration.

“This is proof that my administration is forging a partnership that works. I urge all Ndi Anambra to give Mr. President a warm and resounding welcome,” he added.

While the specific projects to be commissioned were not named, Soludo has previously highlighted major developments such as the Ekwulobia Flyover, Awka Fun City, road networks, and the newly completed Anambra Government House and Lodge.

The visit is expected to attract political leaders, business stakeholders, and community figures from across the region.
