The Nigeria Police have reportedly launched a manhunt for activist and politician Omoyele Sowore following the release of a viral video he shared on his social media platforms.

Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), posted a video he filmed during an altercation with police officers on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Access Road in Lagos. In the video, the activist is seen confronting the officers, urging them to stop causing traffic disruptions at the airport road.

On Wednesday night, Sowore took to his official X handle, claiming that the police are actively searching for him. However, he expressed his willingness to face arrest, stating that he is currently in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and available for detention.
