The Abia State Police Command has concluded its investigation into the alleged murder of Miss Vivian Ocheze Ogbonna, a 26-year-old female worker at Inner Galaxy Steel Company, Obuzor Asa, Ukwa West LGA, Abia State.
According to a statement from the police, the matter was handed over to the Office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abia State, on June 25, 2024, for prosecution in court. This follows the report of the alleged murder made on May 21, 2024, against Mr. Ge Zhen, the 54-year-old Operation Supervisor of the company.
The case had earlier been highlighted by ABN TV in an exclusive report, detailing allegations of torture, sexual harassment, and unfair labour practice at the Chinese company.
The report sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice.

With the conclusion of the police investigation and the handing over of the case to the Attorney General’s office, the family of the deceased and the public await the prosecution of the suspect and justice to be served.
