No fewer than 1, 560 Corps members have been deployed to Bayelsa State as part of the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II national service.
The Corps members were welcomed into the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Boro Town, Kaiama community, in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.
During the formal opening and swearing-in ceremony presided over by the Acting State Chief Judge, Justice Maltide Abrakasa Ayemieye, the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, assured the Corps members of adequate security and welfare.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, and Chairman, of NYSC State Governing Board, Alabo Gideon Ekeuwei, said the state government will not also tolerate truancy, absenteeism, and lateness to work at the Corps members’ places of primary assignments.
Earlier in her remarks, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, thanked the governor, government, and people of the state for their support of the NYSC.
