The Abia State chapter of Fishery Cooperative Federation Nigeria has adopted the Governorship candidate of Action People’s Party (APP) Mascot Uzor Kalu ahead of March 11 governorship election.
This was disclosed on Monday at the party’s state secretariat in Umuahia the state capital.
Prince Chima Nwaubani, the group leader stressed that members of the Federation are adopting Mascot Kalu as their sole candidate for good governance in the state.
A member of the Federation, Pastor Theophilus Onuoha in his speech said they have instructed their members all over the state and others to back the aspiration of Mascot Kalu for Abia governorship.
The state chairman of APP, Chief Princewill Ukaegbu on behalf of the governorship candidate welcomed the group and assured them that the decision they took is a good one adding that a new Abia will emerge.
He admonished the group to join hands with the party to ensure victory for Mascot Kalu, pledging the readiness of the party to work with them if Kalu is elected governor.
Chekezie Madugba while giving vote of thanks assured the party that the group will not fail them as they are ready to give their support to ensure that the candidate comes out victorious.
Briefing ABN TV the state chairman Fishery Cooperative Federation Abia State Chapter Prince Nwaubani said the visit is to support Mascot Kalu and adopt him as their candidate ahead of the governorship election on Saturday.
