The Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Sir Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), and his campaign team made a triumphant entry into the Mechanic Village in Alaoji/Asa Nnetu much to the eruptive cheers of the people after breaking the resistance of the agents of the ruling party, who wanted to deny them entrance.
Chief Kalu, in the company of his running mate, Prof. Osondu Akoma, and candidates of the APP for Abia South Senatorial Zone and Ugwunabo State House of Assembly Constituency, Mr. Signor Kanu and Chief (Mrs.) Fortune Nwanganga, respectively, met with members of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA).
Addressing the Automobile Technicians, the APP governorship candidate, after observing how they dispose of their waste through burning, said there is a need to build a mini-recycling plant at the mechanic village, which his government will do if elected into office, adding that the recycling plant will help curtail the environmental hazards of waste burning and further generate jobs for the people.
On his part, the Abia South senatorial candidate of the APP assured the automobile community that he will build a parts manufacturing company along the PH Expressway for easy procurement of quality automobile parts for technicians.
On behalf of the Automobile Technicians, the APP campaign train was well-received by the Chairman of NATA, Engr. John Harbour, described their candidates as young and energetic, which meets with the yearnings of the people.
