Consensus Candidate: South East APC Presidential Aspirants In Closed-Door Meeting

Ahead of the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for May 30, presidential aspirants from the South-East region have agreed to support any of the South-East aspirants chosen by APC as its candidate.

The Igbo presidential aspirants made the pledge at a review meeting of the former Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

The aspirants expressed their commitment to work together in a communique issued on Sunday and jointly signed by the former Minister of Information, Chief Ikeobasi Molukwu, former Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, former President of the Senate, Sen. Ken. Nnamani, Mrs. Uju Ohanenye, Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, former Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and former Governor of Imo state, Sen. Rochas Okorocha.

It read: “That we commend all Nigerians who are committed to the Nigerian project by the whole hearted support of the aspiration of the South-East to produce the next Nigerian president in 2023.
