The General Manager, Abia State Tourism Board, Hon. Atulomah Onyekachi Jackie has stressed the need for the indigenous Igbo crafts, skills and culture be imbedded in the school syllabus.

Atulomah made this known at Etitinabu Isiama Afaraukwu, Umuahia North L.G.A, of Abia State during the year 2022 annual cultural day of The Priceless Rock Academy.

She disclosed the efforts of
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to promote the cultural heritage and recreation of the Southeast through the Abia State Tourism Board and lauded the school for assisting the government achieve the feat.

Presenting her address earlier, the Proprietress of The Priceless Rock Academy, Atuloma Sylvia Chituru passionately called on Abians to religiously uphold the cultural heritage the region is known for.

She said, “In as much as we have different varieties of cultures, culture help people connect with one another and build communities within the same cultural background”.

The Proprietress maintained that, “Our culture should be upheld as our heritage” and no one should be allowed to “attack or destroy our cultural traditions“; even as she encouraged the people not to allow our cultural background fade into oblivion.
