The governor-elect of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo has inaugurated an 80-man Transition Committee headed by former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili with emphasis that their assignment is huge towards making a greater Anambra.
According to the incoming governor, the committee will play a huge role in driving his vision for a better, newer, liveable, and industrialised Anambra, urging them to put the needed effort towards achieving that.
He was addressing the Transition and Handover Committees at Golden Tulip Hotel Agulu on Thursday where he reminded them that his manifesto is not just for the campaign but a contract he has signed with Ndi Anambra, hence they have chosen him amongst all the other qualified candidates.
He expressed commitment to undertake the transformation of Anambra and ensure impactful leadership, assuring that he will stop at nothing on his work plan for a better Anambra.
He reiterated that Anambra must be transformed to that mega industrialised economy, saying roads across the state both in the rural areas and cities, markets, environment challenges must be addressed.
In her comment, the Chairperson of Anambra State Transition Committee; Dr (Mrs) Oby Ezekwesili urged the committee members to buckle up and get ready for work, saying the task before the committee is enormous and must be delivered.
The former Minister of Education stated that the entire Anambra is blessed with business moguls, hence the need to pull all enablers to make Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland.
To achieve this she said there is need for assiduously planning for accountability, transparency, prudence, effective and efficient governance for the incoming governor and his team.
