Barcelona midfielder, Pedri, has won this year’s Golden Boy award.
The 18-year-old clinched the prize after 24 of the 40 journalists voting for the award selected him in top place. 36 picked Pedri in their top three.
Pedri made 73 appearances for club and country last campaign, including extensive runs in Euro 2020 and the Olympics with Spain.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Jude Bellingham, finished in second place with his points tally of 119 far behind Pedri’s 318.

The award is given out by a panel of leading journalists to the top Europe-based player who is aged 21 or under.

“And of course, many thanks to Barça, the national team, my family, my friends, and obviously to all those who have been close to me day after day without whom I would not have been able to win the Golden Boy award,” Pedri said.
