Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, has condoled families of the victims of Sunday’s fatal auto crash on Jebba-Bode-Saadu highway.
Eleven persons reportedly died in the crash, while several other passengers were injured.
In a statement in Ilorin on Monday by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor described the death of the victims as painful and very unfortunate.
” The governor is saddened by the news of the fatal crash involving many of our compatriots, eleven of whom died.

“He sends his profound condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prays the Almighty God to grant them repose,” the statement added.
The accident occurred at Onipako village on Jebba-Bode-Saadu highway on Sunday.
The accident involved a Toyota corolla car and a Hummer passenger bus with 26 people affected.
Eyewitness account blamed the driver of the Toyota corolla car for over-speeding and overtaking wrongly.
