Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has hinted that his administration will commence the construction of another flyover in Isi Gate area of Umuahia October this year.

The first ever flyover in the state located at the Osisioma area of Aba has remained uncompleted since commencement over four years ago, ABN TV reports.

Speaking through the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu on a current affairs programme The Platform on Flo FM monitored by ABN TV in Umuahia on Monday, the governor said he intends to complete the project before the end of his administration.

He insisted that the administration has done well in giving Umuahia, the state capital the needed face lift it deserves.

He enumerated some of the roads it constructed to include, Aba Road, heading to Ubakala at the moment, construction of Ukaegbu estate road, Agbama Ring road, Eze I.O Kalu Road, Osaa Road, execution of erosion control project as Umuagu Isingwu, construction of a cluster of road behind the state CID, construction of Road 2 & 8 in World Bank housing estate as well as re-asphalting over 60 roads in Umuahia.

The governor further stated that his administration will construct a minimum of 250 kilometre roads before the end of his tenure in 2023 in addition to the completion of the new Government House in Umuahia.
