Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has expressed sadness over the death of the member representing Aba North/South federal constituency at House of Representatives, Hon. Ossy Prestige, describing as a devastating loss to the people of Aba.

Ogah further remarked that Hon. Prestige was a fine representative who left indelible footprint in the minds of his constituents through several people-oriented programmes which cuts across education, agriculture, youth empowerment, infrastructure and social welfare, maintaining that he will be missed not only by his constituents and people of Abia as a whole but in the floor of the Green Chamber where he was a vibrant contributor.

In a condolence message to Mrs. Precious Prestige, the former lawmaker’s widow made available to ABN TV on Thursday, Dr. Ogah while encouraging her to take heart further urged her to take solace in the fact that her late husband left a legacy for which his name will resonate for a long time to come.

In Hon. Prestige’s death, I feel a sense of personal loss. He was a friend and a brother who in his entire political career eschewed bitterness and remained a bridge builder across party lines.
