The Abia state government has announced the readiness to commence the fumigation of public places including, churches, schools, offices, markets, public buildings, etc. between Monday and Tuesday respectively.
This is following the end of the relaxation of lockdown which commenced 6 am Friday – 2 pm Sunday, April 12, 2020 to enable Abians and residents to celebrate Easter.
In a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem made available to ABN TV, the 7-day lockdown extension which took effect on Wednesday the 8th day of April, 2020 before the lockdown grace continues from 2 pm Sunday, 12th April to end on Friday, 17th April 2020.
“Accordingly, the general public are hereby warned to stay at home because of the health hazards associated with this exercise and in continued compliance with the lockdown.
“Security operatives and various Enforcement Teams are by this notice directed to ensure full compliance,” he said.
