Abians Seek Completion Of Osisioma Flyover, Payment Of Workers In Gov. Ikpeazu’s Remaining 2 Years In Office (See Comments)

As the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State enters the last half of second tenure, people of the State have urged the governor to put more efforts to ensure that the ongoing Osisioma flyover project is completed before the end of the tenure in 2023.

This is even as they appeal to the Governor to ensure that workers in various parastatals in the state who are still being owed are paid up to date to ameliorate the hardship they and their dependents are passing through at this period of economic crisis.

In a post in ABN TV Facebook group which seeks to set agenda for the governor in the remaining two years of his administration, Abians insisted that the governor should do more to have a legacy for which he will be remembered.

While some respondents expressed lack of confidence on the government to make meaningful impact in the remaining days of its tenure, others say the journey so far has worth the while.

One of the respondents, Kingsley Nwabeke wants the governor in addition to the completion of the Osisioma flyover build another bridge at what side.

Adibe Oti Winner is urging the governor to reconstruct Bende-Itumbauzo-Ntalakwu Road as well as the completion of new Government House in Umuahia.

Kalu Uche John simply wrote, “6 years flyover” while Nnamdi Okereke is calling on the governor to pay the 2019/2020 local government workers whose salaries are allegedly pending.

In his response, of the the followers in ABN TV Facebook group, David Onuoha David wants the government to provide jobs to the unemployed youths in the state.

IG Obasi wants the salaries of teachers paid, insisting that it has brought hardship to their families while Stanley John Madukwe is calling for the backlog of pension arrears to be paid.

Kingsley Ifeanyi is calling for an end to the demolition of New Market while Udofia Samuel Udofia is appealing for payment of pensioners.

Oluchi Angela wants increment in the salaries of local government workers while another respondent, Jennifer Eze wants the payment of staff of the state hospital management board.

Pascal Ebere, Right Man, Ezinne Chiadighikaobi Roland were unanimous is appealing to the Governor to pay salaries of civil Servants and teachers.

Andrew Ikwuegbu, Nnabuike Ojiegbe want completion of Osisioma flyover and construction the collapsing bridge leading into Nkpa in Bende local government area.

Ikenna Idika simply wrote, ‘flyover’ while Constance Chibueze simply said, ‘pay your staff oga’.

Oyibo Odi wants revitalisation of schools in the state while also seeking the payment of teachers.
